October 1, 2010
TargetRx and its CEO, Craig Scott, were recently honored as recipients of the Life Sciences Award, sponsored by the Philadelphia Business Journal. This award recognizes the region's "medical miracle makers for their innovative approaches to improving the delivery of health care." The award was given in the category of Life Sciences CEO of the Year.
Nominations were sought through Business Journal promotions with assistance from BioAdvance and the University City Science Center. The program was launched in sponsorship with the University of the Sciences and partners Pennsylvania Bio and Safeguard Scientifics. Finalists were named by an independent panel of judges from leading universities in the state, including: Michael Cleare, associate vice provost for research and executive director of the Center for Technology Transfer at the University of Pennsylvania; Marc Malandro, associate vice chancellor for technology management and commercialization at the University of Pittsburgh; and John R. Taylor, industrial liaison for the corporate life science programs at Lehigh University.
"I am extremely proud of this recognition as a testament to the insight, innovation and progress of our collective TargetRx team", said Craig Scott, "and we look forward to continuing our best efforts to help our clients succeed in meeting the needs of physicians and patients alike".
