How do I register?
On the TargetRx Home Page www.targetrx.com accessible from anywhere on our site by clicking on the TargetRx Logo select the link "Register now."
This will take you to our simple 3-step registration process where you will be asked to provide basic information which will permit TargetRx to authenticate your status as a physician,
gather information about your specialty and personal profile information (name, address, phone number, fax, email, etc.) so we can contact you when a study is available for your participation.
(If you need assistance at any point, Registration Help is only a click away just click on the Help link).
When you have successfully completed registration you will be presented with your TargetRx Personal Welcome Page. Any surveys to which you have been invited should be listed on your Personal Welcome Page.
With each subsequent logon, you will be presented with your Personal Welcome Page to select available surveys.
What kind of information do I need to provide at registration?
Our simple step-by-step four page registration process requires the following information:
- Name
- Main Office DEA Number or Medical Education Number -
used only to authenticate your status as a physician
For more information click here. - Primary Office Address
- Honoraria Mailing Address (optional)
- Office Phone and Fax Numbers
- A brief description of your practice type
- Your Specialties
You will then select your personal Username and private Password and select a Hint question (to assist us if you ever lose or forget your password).
Why do you need my DEA number? Why don't you use another form of identification for verification, such as my state license number?
TargetRx is very sensitive to concerns about physician confidentiality and we recognize our responsibility to protect your professional and personal privacy as much as possible.
To ensure that we maintain a physician-only website TargetRx requires a DEA number to verify and authenticate your status as a physician. The DEA number is information in the public domain; we have access to the National Technical Information Service (NTIS) database of physician information - a database provided by the US Department of Commerce - which contains a comprehensive record of physician information, including the DEA number.
TargetRx registration system references this database to verify that the DEA numbers provided by registering physicians correspond with the data contained within the database. Once TargetRx confirms the validity of a registrant's information, we no longer use the DEA number for any purpose.
I wanted to use the Password Hint, but none of the options offered match the password I created. What do I do?
The Password Hint is not designed to be a "reminder". The Password Hint is designed to be an additional way to authenticate who you are. If you should forget your password, we would use the hint, in addition to other information, to be certain we send the Username and Password to the right person.
I received an error message. What should I do?
There are many reasons for an error message to be displayed. Some error messages are from the TargetRx systems, others may be from your Internet Service Provider and still others may be from your Internet browser.
First, read the message carefully. If it asks you to perform a specific action, (ex: 'please try again') please perform that action.
Often error messages reflect a temporary situation on our network or somewhere on the networks that comprise the Internet. Waiting a few moments and trying the action again may result in a positive outcome.
If these don't remedy the situation, please contact our Customer Service Department.
