The founders and management of TargetRx have extensive track records of success in pharmaceutical, marketing information, and technology companies.
Craig H. Scott serves as President & Chief Executive Officer of TargetRx, Inc., and serves on the Board of Directors. Craig possesses a broad range of pharmaceutical marketing, sales and general management experience on both the client and service sides, and in both Fortune 100 and entrepreneurial start-up organizations. Prior to joining TargetRx, he was president of the Catalina Health Resource division of Catalina Marketing Corporation from 2004 until the leveraged buyout of the company in November 2007. During his tenure, he dramatically increased revenues and profits and led the transformation of Catalina Health Resource into the leading provider of direct-to-patient communication services in pharmacies nationwide. Craig joined Catalina after nine years with Nelson Communications, where he established several new healthcare marketing ventures, leading them from concept to implementation and commercial success. Prior to his work at Nelson Communications, Craig spent 13 years with Johnson & Johnson, where he held a variety of marketing and management positions. Most notably at J&J, Craig served as vice president of marketing as well as a management board member for Vistakon, the J&J affiliate that launched ACUVUE®, the first disposable and best-selling contact lens in the world. Craig is also very active in the community. Among his outside commitments, he currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Medical Missions for Children, the Board of Advisors for Second Chance Toys and the George School Strategic Planning Oversight Committee. Craig received his B.A. degree in Semiotics from Brown University and his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Michael J. Luby serves as Head of Business Development and is a Co-Founder of TargetRx. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors since the Company's inception. Prior to founding TargetRx, Mike spent 10 years in sales and marketing positions at Merck & Co., Inc. His most recent position at Merck was Senior Director of Marketing, Worldwide for New Products, where he was responsible for the marketing planning for two late stage development products. Previously, Mike served as Director of New Product Marketing, managing the marketing of early stage drug development candidates and also evaluating the marketing potential of in-licensing opportunities from biotech companies. Previous assignments included Senior Marketing Manager for Fosamax, Market Research Analyst for Vasotec and Prilosec, and marketing assignments that focused on marketing to managed care customers, including an assignment at Merck-Medco Managed Care. Mike holds a B.A. in economics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Patrick Howie serves as Vice President of New Product Development. During his tenure at TargetRx, Patrick has been a pivotal contributor to the Company's product development area, which he has headed since early 2002. Prior to joining TargetRx, Patrick served as a Senior Director at PDI, Inc., initially in their TVG Division and subsequently in their Life Cycle Ventures group. Prior to his time at PDI, Patrick worked for 5 years as an economist, initially at the WEFA Group and subsequently at Regional Financial Associates. Patrick's work as an economist was cited and published in numerous publications, including Fortune Magazine. Patrick holds a B.A. in Philosophy magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.S. in Applied Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Thomas J. Principe - Serves as Vice President Client Solutions. Tom brings an extensive background of sales, marketing, and senior management experience from the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining TargetRx, Tom was Vice President Sales, Community Care Business with Astellas Pharma US where he led both the primary care and specialty sales organizations. Tom had previously spent 19 years with Abbott Laboratories where he held a variety of key roles within multiple business units and therapeutic areas. During his tenure at Abbott he served as Director of Sales and Marketing, Major Health Care Systems; Director Marketing Acute Care Pharmaceuticals; Regional Sales Manager in both the Cardiovascular and Neuroscience franchises, and Product Manager for two of Abbott's biggest brands - Biaxin and Depakote. Tom possesses a B.S. Degree in Psychology magna cum laude from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He has also completed several management and executive level business programs through Kellogg School of Health Services Management and the University of Chicago.
Edward Smith serves as Vice President of Production. Ed has over 20 years of experience in a variety of technical, operational and management roles. His experience has provided him with wide-ranging expertise in technology, production, and operations. Prior to joining TargetRx, Ed was a project manager and development manager in both the Production and Technology departments at Intelihealth, a subsidiary of Aetna U.S. Healthcare. Prior to joining Intelihealth, Ed worked for Competitive Media Reporting for 15 years. At Competitive Media, Ed held a number of positions in the technology department that included application developer, project manager, technical lead, and team leader. Ed holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Millersville University.
Benjamin D. Yurchak serves as Vice President, Product Management & Marketing and is responsible for strategy, product commercialization and marketing support. Prior to joining TargetRx, Ben served as Vice President Corporate Development for Commerce360, a technology-driven search marketing company and his responsibilities included corporate development, product management, and operations. Prior to his time at Commerce360, Ben worked for Refinery (now G2) an interactive agency and served as Director of Strategy & Analytics where he led strategic planning, market research, and analytics disciplines. Ben holds a B.A.E. in Architectural Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
